Snow Emergency Plan Lifted

January 9th citations voided

The recent winter weather event in Lexington has been unusual and challenging, both in terms of its intensity and how long it’s lasted.

LEXPARK is tasked by the city of Lexington to issue citations to vehicles parked more than 24 hours; however, we recognize the unique circumstances that many of our neighbors have been dealing with, and as a result, all citations issued on Thursday, January 9th, have been voided.

Residents will not need to take any further action on their part. Additionally, no tickets were given out over the weekend for meter or street violations due to the inclement weather.

The Mayor’s Snow Emergency Plan was lifted today, but LEXPARK will resume safety-related enforcement actions tomorrow, January 14th.

As the weather has started to make traffic and parking more manageable for residents, citations for non-payment or expired meters will begin again today, Monday, January 13th.
