When it comes to making sure everything runs smoothly in the behind the scenes day-to-day functions of LEXPARK, Office Manager Nicole goes above and beyond! Starting at LEXPARK in the Fall of 2016, Nicole agreed to fill in for an employee who was on maternity leave. As the start of 2017 rolled around and that employee resigned, Nicole was asked to take on the role full-time. Having quickly learned the ropes and showcasing the ability to complete her tasks efficiently and with great people skills, Nicole was guaranteed to be a great asset to the LEXPARK team.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys reading, playing board games, and spending time with her child. When it comes time to head to Downtown Lexington for a day out, Nicole and her child visit the Central Library and visit various locations around town searching for historical facts. By providing a variety of on-street and structure parking, LEXPARK ensures that people like Nicole can choose a parking spot that suits them best when it comes to both time and convenience.

Working at LEXPARK highlights one of Nicole’s biggest strengths: her empathy and ability to see things the way customers might. “I was once in their position as a college student at UK who drove to class and needed parking.” Nicole enjoys helping customers in a myriad of ways, including when she is able to provide information that parkers may not have had access to before. “What I find most rewarding about my work at LEXPARK is when I am able to help educate parkers on parking ordinances and ways to make their Downtown parking experiences easier.”

Availability and ease of parking remains one of the most important aspects of LEXPARK‘s work, and is a cornerstone of our most focused efforts. Nicole believes that, “The value LEXPARK brings to the people in the community is to help them find convenient parking in the Downtown area, whether it be street parking or in the garages for just a short time or for daily and monthly parking for those who live and/or work Downtown.”

As far as our goal of affecting local residents and visitors in a positive way, Nicole had this to say: “We positively impact residents of Downtown by helping patrol the Residential streets to help ensure that they have available parking spaces on the streets that they live on, as well as offering Monthly Parking options on-street and in the garages for those who live Downtown without street parking options near their homes. For visitors, we offer several ways to pay for metered parking so that there is a way for all people, even the ones who never have change!”
