To ensure quality service with those who use LEXPARK’s services, Garage Ambassador Lou spends a lot of his time interacting with and assisting the people who use and park in the facilities, whether it’s monthly or on a day-to-day basis. Often, you’ll find Lou near a kiosk to assist with entering or exiting, or just watching the entrance for larger vehicles to help make getting in easier, or choosing a larger entrance to accommodate. Lou was drawn to this LEXPARK position both because it was a new challenge as something he had never done before, as well as its ability to fit in perfectly with his other job.
Having spent time with both those who stop by to visit and those who live in Lexington, Lou enjoys providing facility services and chatting with everyone, but especially enjoys, “the regulars who come downtown to dine, party, or both on the weekend.” At LEXPARK, Lou’s greatest strength is, “my ability to work independently or with others.” As part of a team, Lou knows the importance of working alongside his peers to achieve goals, but also enjoys handling tasks on his own. “With most things I can problem solve, and if not, I do not mind asking for help.”

When he’s not on the job, Lou enjoys spending time with his grandkids, cruising around town on his motorcycle, and going on vacations and spending quality time with his wife. The work-life balance provided by LEXPARK makes spending time with his loved ones easy. When he heads to Downtown Lexington, it’s usually to go to conventions or events. Thanks to LEXPARK, he knows he can always count on a parking spot for whatever entertainment he’s in the mood for.
Navigating the ease, accessibility, and availability of parking in Downtown Lexington is one of the most important aspects of LEXPARK‘s work, and is one of the cornerstones of our most focused efforts. By being out and about as a LEXPARK Garage Ambassador, Lou is able to assist those in need directly and provide a positive experience and leave a lasting effect for locals and visitors alike. “Being out and seen on the streets and in the garages gives us the opportunity to interact with the public. It gives us the chance to give directions, and answer questions to both locals and visitors to our city, which is one of the many positive things LEXPARK is doing.”
