LEXPARK is notifying the public of upcoming temporary closures at the Helix Garage as part of essential renovation work. These improvements are necessary to maintain the efficiency and long-term functionality of the facility. Please review the following closure details and plan your parking accordingly.
Schedule Update
Due to weather conditions, the construction schedule for the Helix Garage has been adjusted. To complete the weather-dependent portions of work—specifically the concrete and sealant coating, we must begin earlier than previously planned. Work will now begin at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, instead of 5:00 p.m. The garage will be fully closed until 5:00 a.m. on 12 Nov.
Our priority remains completing this project during the planned closure of the County Clerk’s Office while minimizing disruption to your operations. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to finish this important phase of the project.

12:01 a.m. –
- LEXPARK will restrict access to levels 5 and 6 and to the Main Street entrance.
7:00 a.m. –
- All monthly parkers must park at the Transit Center Garage.
- The Helix Garage exit ramp will be inaccessible for levels 5 and 6.
- Entry to the garage, mainly for car registration, will be available only through the Martin Luther King Boulevard entrance.
9:00 a.m. –
- The Helix Garage exit ramp will be fully closed.
- We will be unable to accommodate monthly parkers, except for car registration purposes or special circumstances.
- Police Department: We understand this change affects your operations. While we encourage use of the Transit Center Garage, those who must park at Helix may do so on or below level 4 until noon. Access will be via Martin Luther King Boulevard only. Please advise if you need additional access.
- County Clerk’s Office: We ask that employees park at the Transit Center Garage. Access for car registration clients will remain open until 12:00 p.m. (noon) via the Martin Luther King entrance. LEXPARK staff will be onsite to assist customers entering and exiting.
- City Offices, Partners for Youth, Gray, and other monthly accounts: Please direct employees to park at the Transit Center Garage. An email notification will also be sent to all monthly parkers with email addresses on file.
- Access to Transit Center Garage will be fully available. Our secure doors will not be locked from 6am to 7pm daily during the full closure. We will not enforce at Transit Center garage during the full closure.
12:00 p.m. (Noon) –
- The Helix Garage will be fully closed to all parkers until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12.
We strongly encourage all patrons to adjust your parking and exit routes in advance of these closures. If you regularly park in Helix Garage, please make alternate arrangements during the full closure period.
